Training Topic: The Code Enforcement Officer Safety Foundation exists to promote best practices for the safety of Code Officials across the world; to provide a resource for officials; report incidents; provide up-to-date training and to encourage a high standard of professionalism within our chosen profession. The training will review national statistics, case studies, threats, inspection safety, CA Senate Bill 296, and implementing safety procedures. With 23 murdered Code Officials and hundreds of reported incidents, it is a crucial topic to cover for code official safety. Presented By: Justin Edson, Public Safety & Emergency Manager for the City of Commerce, ICC Certified Code Enforcement Administrator, and member of the Code Enforcement Officer Safety Foundation. ICC CEUs are available for paid attendees.
